Chicken Sh*t Bingo is a famous, offbeat game. It is a literal game of chance where participants bet on which numbered square a chicken will poop on!  If the chicken poops on your number, you win a prize!

Team Roping

Team roping is a fast-paced rodeo event where a "header" ropes a steer’s horns/neck and a "heeler" ropes its hind legs, aiming for the fastest time

. The team must work in unison, with the header turning the steer and both horses facing each other with tight ropes to stop the clock. Join us at the fairgrounds and lets support them all.

Kids Rodeo

Kids rodeos and junior rodeo circuits provide opportunities for children ages 3–18 to learn skills like mutton bustin' (sheep riding), barrel racing, goat tying, and steer riding. These events, often divided by age, focus on safety and building confidence. Come out and support our future rodeo stars!

Barrel Race

Join us for this fast paced and exciting event! Barrel racing is a fast-paced rodeo speed event where a horse and rider complete a cloverleaf pattern around three barrels in an arena. It is a timed sport focusing on precision, speed, and agility, where the fastest time wins!

Saddle Club 

This club has a long history of serving the Deming community, including supporting youth riding and hosting events, sometimes operating with the help of community, such as through fundraisers. A dedicated local organization focused on promoting Western horsemanship.

The club historically engaged in community events, youth horse shows, and, as far back as the 1970s!

July McClure is a prominent singer-songwriter, actress, and theater owner based in Columbus, New Mexico, known for her contributions to local arts and community culture. She operates the Tumbleweed Theater in Columbus and has been a staple performer in Luna County for many years, acting in numerous productions and organizing local events.
